Atlantis Scuba Diving – Los Cristianos

Atlantis Scuba Diving Center is located in Los Cristianos, The most popular touristic village, where you find sandy beaches with very comfortable entrance to the water. This is a highly developed area with lots of hotels, bars, restaurants and activities to do. Our dive school is situated straight in front of the beach, so it’s very easy to arrange water activities here: introduction to diving, dives with certified divers, snorkeling tours, PADI courses and more!

Near our school, you can see a lot fish and animals as there is a lava reef with a lot of layers, holes, and little caves making it a perfect home for marine inhabitants. We frequently meet rays, octopuses, seastars, sometimes angel sharks.. This is a lovely place to dive for both beginners and advanced divers.

In 2018 we started also another excursion: kayak tours to see dolphins and turtles. Thanks to our comfortable position we were able to arrange it starting from the same beach as scuba diving. So if in one family somebody wants to do diving and the rest kayaking, they can still enjoy their day together.  We arrange diving trips around the whole island and pick up our divers from any hotel or apartment in the south of Tenerife.

 

Snorkeling

Very popular in the world. Tourists coming to warm countries enjoy swimming with masks and snorkels and watching the underwater world full of life. In Tenerife you have a good opportunity to go snorkeling in a bay where you will enjoy the underwater landscapes, see a lot of fish, plants and animals. Snorkeling is easy and a lot of fun, anyone can go snorkeling no matter their age or swimming ability.

Join us on one of our snorkeling trip to see the inhabitants of the Atlantic ocean! We pick up our guests from their hotel at around 10 a.m. and return at 2 p.m. We give a full briefing to our snorkelers, put on warm suits, take masks, fins and snorkels and enter the water from the beach. We also take a swimming float so that snorkelers can have a rest from time to time, the trip is 50 min long and always lead by an instructor. Price: 35 euros

Kayaking

Canoeing has become so popular recent years because of its obvious advantages: you do sports and enjoy breathtaking views from the sea at the same time. The kayak tours in Los Cristianos impress the guests of the islands enormously as almost every time we encounter dolphins on our way. It´s something that you do not experience in your everyday life: to be out in the sea on a canoe and watch dolphins swimming around you! Price: 35 euros

Snorkeling & Kayaking

This is an amazing experience for families, groups of friends and couples. The tour combines kayaking and snorkeling and lasts all together 2 hours. We start in Los Cristianos in front of our diving school and take direction to Palmmar cliffs. About 30 minutes in canoes and we reach a place by these gorgeous rocks where Canarian turtles live. We make a stop for half an hour to do snorkeling that is guided by our professional instructors. While you are swimming with turtles, you also observe the surrounding underwater life. There are all kinds of fish and animals living here, so every time we go to snorkel by kayaks turns into a true adventure. After that, we continue our tour on canoes to explore more of the area that offers gorgeous views. We return to the kayak school in Los Cristianos and watch the pictures all together that were taken during the trip. Price: 40 euros

 

Scuba Diver PADI

Duration: 1-2 days. Minimum age: 10 years. Upon finishing the course divers are qualified to dive up to 12 m deep in arranged groups accompanied by a professional guide. The price includes PADI Scuba Diver certificate, theoretical course, shallow water lesson and 2 dives in the ocean.

Open Water Diver PADI

Duration: 2-3 days. Minimum age: 10 years (from 10 to 14 years old it’s allowed to dive up to 12 m). Upon finishing the course divers are qualified to dive with a buddy up to 18 m deep.The price includes PADI Open Water Diver certificate, theoretical course, shallow water lesson and 4 dives in the ocean.

Advanced & Adventure Open Water Diver PADI

Duration: 2-3 days. Requirements: OWD PADI license or analogue certificate of any other diving federation. These courses are to improve your diving skills and to make you an advanced diver. You can do your planned dives taking course at the same time. There are 3 dives in Adventure OWD and 5 dives in Advanced.

Upon finishing Advanced Open Water Diver you are qualified to dive up to 30 m (from 12 to 14 years old – 21 m). You can enroll on Advanced OWD course straight after getting your OWD license.
The price includes AOWD certificate, 3 dives for Adventure course and 5 dives for Advanced course.

Deep Diver PADI

Duration: 2 days. Requirements: AOWD PADI license or analogue certificate of any other diving federation. It’s a prestigious specialty that allows you to upgrade your skills and do deep dives up to 40 m. This is the maximum depth allowed to dive to in recreational diving. The price includes PADI Deep Diver certificate, 4 dives in the ocean.

Divemaster PADI

Duration: 5 days. Requirements: Rescue Diver and EFR certificates. This is the first step into the professional level of PADI. Divemaster is a professional diver who is trained to accompany certified divers and to work in a dive centre. Divemaster license enables you to hold some of the dive programs for beginners and certified divers, arrange and guide dives and also to help instructors teach coursants under direct and indirect observation of instructor. A divemaster who has finished also DSD practice can do underwater trips for those who would like to try scuba diving. The course includes theoretical classes, swimming pool lessons, practical part and dives in the ocean. Having finished the course divemaster can stay in our school as trainee with a possiblity of further employment. Helping the instructors of our school you can also get DSD leader liecense for free.

Rescue Diver

Duration: 4 days. Requirements: AOWD and EFR certificates. This is the most interesting course that will make you close to the professional level of scuba diving. Taking this course divers get more self-confident, they learn how to help themselves and other divers in different situations that may happen both underwater and on the shore. The training program includes theoretical course, exams, swimming pool lesson, exercises and rescue plot in the ocean. The price includes Rescue Diver license. To enroll for Rescue Diver course you need to have EFR certificate (First and Secondary Aid) or you can do EFR course together with Rescue Diver.

NITROX PADI

It is probably the most popular diving specialty in the world. In some areas, dives with EANx has almost completely replaced traditional air diving. This course teaches you to use an oxygen-enriched breathing mix to a maximum of 40% oxygen. Thanks to the use of which we can safely and without decompression increase the residence time underwater. It is also a great introduction for those who think about starting their adventure with technical diving (Advanced NITROX Diver). The course includes theoretical classes and 2 dives. Available from the OWD level

DEEP Diver PADI

This specialty allows divers to extend their depth limit to the maximum for recreational dives. During the course, you will learn how to do deep diving safely up to 40m. The training includes theoretical knowledge and 4 dives in the range of 30-40m. Available from the AOWD level.

WRECK Diver PADI

Wreck diving is a passion for many divers in the world. Underwater we can find many sunken objects such as various types of ships, planes, tanks, cars or excavators. During the course you will learn how to responsibly perform diving on wrecks, along with penetration of their interior. The training includes theoretical knowledge and 4 wreck dives.

SIDEMOUNT PADI

One of the most popular specializations of recent years. Side configuration comes from cave diving, but recreational divers also enjoy it very much, because it gives freedom and is very “flexible”. It is also a great alternative to the traditional double-cylinders set worn on the back (twinset). On the course you will learn about new equipment, learn how to configure it and use it underwater. The training includes theoretical knowledge, one session in confined water and 3 dives in the ocean. Available from the AOWD level.

NIGHT Diver PADI

At night, divers can admire what is normally well hidden from their eyes during the day. On the night dives, we can also observe animal behaviors much different from what we see during the day. This course will teach you how to safely and comfortably dive in limited visibility. The training includes theoretical knowledge and 3 night dives in the ocean. Available from the OWD level.
