VIP Wine testing Tour.
Some of the most unique wines in the world are made in the Canary Islands. Being a territory that was free of the
phylloxera plague, dozens of varieties that disappeared from the rest of the planet have been preserved. Now they
are native or endemic and offer unique sensations to the palate. To start the tour we will go up to the historic Villa
de Vilaflor 4920ft (asl), the highest in Tenerife and the Canary Islands, imitating the Camino Real of the colony,
(with spectacular views of the southern area and the westernmost islands), in the plain of Trevejos area with
viticultural history dating back to the XV century, preserving the oldest vineyards in Europe, centuries-old vines,
planted in volcanic soil, combining centuries-old methods (centennial winepresses) and modern tecniques, with
grapes from the area of the Listan Blanco and Listan preto variety, producing the best wines from the Trevejos
Valley area, where we will visit two family vineyards in the area (D.O. Abona). Local tradition wineries, and their
fruity, dry white wines, fruity rosés, and young and aged red wines, winners of local and national awards, with
tasting of local products, (tapas).
